Haunted Mansion '71. I'm going to guess that most people reading this are
already fans of the ride and probably know quite a bit about it from sources like Disney's official book "The Haunted Mansion:
Imagineering a Disney Classic" as well as the various unofficial books and
fan sites like DoomBuggies.com. So for those of you "in the know" I promise
this site isn't going to be a rehash of information available elsewhere, and if
you don't already know about all the other stuff don't worry, it won't be required
reading to understand anything here.
The goal here is to shed some light on the first 20 years of the Walt Disney World version of the Haunted Mansion, which was quite a bit different then than it is today, and hopefully along the way this site will help to establish a timeline of the all the strange and varied incarnations of Disney's most frequently reinvented attraction.
